Job description

Drexel/Landoll/Bendi Swingmast Forklift Drivers

Drexel/Landoll/Bendi Swingmast forklift drivers are responsible for operating specialized material handling equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency in moving and storing goods in tight spaces. Forklift Drivers should be able to rotate the mast assembly 90° and shift left and right to pick or place loads in racks from very narrow aisles without turning the forklift. Their role includes maintaining equipment, following safety protocols, and sometimes handling hazardous materials.

Key duties and responsibilities include maintaining a constant flow of raw products onto assigned production lines. Work closely with production leads to ensure smooth movement of acceptable raw product. Assist in unloading, transporting, and putting away inbound raw product. Inspect powered jacks/trucks for operating conditions and safety. Unload material and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them in assigned places. Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment. Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies. Transport raw materials to production workstations. Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance. Accurate, timely, and efficient workflow for all assignments. Communicate with supervisor, leads, production, and as needed. Adherence to all company policies. Always follow and comply with the company's safety program. Ensure good manufacturing practices at all times. Maintain a safe work area. Must be able to work outside when needed in any weather conditions. Capable of working in a cold (34-38 degrees F) and wet environment. Ability to lift 75 pounds consistently. Forklift certified.

Skills and abilities required include the ability to change priorities rapidly and work independently and/or with teams. Product knowledge and understanding of material requirements planning. Strong communication and organizational skills. Lifting/moving product and supplies up to 50 pounds. General math skills. Understanding of basic 5S. Works well without direct supervision, task-oriented. Process-oriented.

Hourly rate starting at $21.00.
