Job description

The primary role of the Spice Room Blender is to formulate and mix

all blended products within quality and safety guidelines

Primary Responsibilities:

The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Accurately picks, measures and blends formulas using standard operating procedures and GMPs. 
  2. Operates blenders, mixers, cookers and ancillary equipment without direction and within SOP and process guidelines. 
  3. Ensures proper lot coding, prepares samples for lab testing and works closely with packaging to ensure timely preparation.
  4. Continually monitors product quality and advises supervision of quality issues.
  5. Monitors and reports on food safety issues when perceived.
  6. Maintains accurate records and paperwork.

To be eligible for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Must be fork lift qualified (training available)
  • Able to lift 50lb bags and pails
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Prior blending experience preferred
  • Flexible Work Schedule
