Position: Machine Operator
Location: Peabody, MA
Pay Rate: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour (DOE)
Shift: 1st - 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday



Overtime: Available

We are looking for a highly skilled and meticulous Machine Operator to join our dynamic food manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of a variety of production machinery, ensuring smooth and efficient production processes. Adherence to food safety, quality assurance, and GMP standards is essential to maintain the highest level of production quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operation and Maintenance: Operate and maintain production machinery, ensuring all equipment functions optimally and is in proper working condition.
  • Material Handling: Supply the assigned production lines with necessary raw materials and monitor the operation of machinery to ensure continuous production flow.
  • Safety Compliance: Strictly follow all safety protocols and company rules to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Instructions and Communication: Comprehend and act on verbal instructions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work Area Organization: Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in compliance with health and safety guidelines.
  • Food Safety Standards: Adhere to all food safety, quality assurance, and GMP policies, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all work is in accordance with USDA regulations and other applicable health and sanitation standards.
  • Manual Tasks: Perform additional tasks as assigned, including cleaning equipment, packing products, and assembling boxes.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain various equipment, including box sealers, scales, and vacuum sealers.
  • Box Handling: Collect, clean, and sanitize boxes for reuse in production, ensuring they meet cleanliness standards.
  • Other Duties: Complete any additional tasks as assigned by management, including basic manual labor, such as cleaning refrigeration units or windows.

Requirements:

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods in a cold, refrigerated environment (28F).

  • Equipment Proficiency: Ability to operate an electric pallet jack and other production tools.
