Job description

The custody mediation officer facilitates custody mediation sessions between parents and guardians, aiding them in reaching amicable agreements regarding custody arrangements. This role includes conducting preliminary assessments, managing and scheduling mediation appointments, maintaining case files, and providing follow-up services to ensure compliance with agreements. The officer will also work closely with legal professionals and social service providers to support families throughout the mediation process.

Requirements

Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field. A minimum of two years of experience in family services, mediation, or related areas; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong conflict resolution and negotiation abilities; familiarity with custody laws and procedures in Pennsylvania; and the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
