TERNES Packaging Indiana, Inc.
Job Description
TERNES Indiana, Inc. is currently looking to fill an immediate Material Planner position for our Indianapolis based manufacturing client Allison Transmission, Inc (ATI). This position will provide administrative support to ATI in their Global Parts Distribution Center (GPDC) located at 5902 Decatur Blvd, Indianapolis, IN 46241.
Scope of Work
TERNES Indiana, Inc. is a contracted service provider to ATI. In this position the TERNES Material Planner will provide support to the ATI Global Supply Chain organization working closely with material suppliers to ensure timely and accurate flow of materials to the GPDC. The main functions of this position include:
  • Run Various reports and Update daily/Monthly
  • Data analysis
  • Maintenance on Material Masters
  • Expediting with Suppliers/Vendors
  • Detail oriented
  • Professional communication both verbally and written
  • Processing Engineering Changes/cancellations
  • Team Player
This position requires the ability to work in a fast paced and multi-task oriented work environment. Ideal candidate will need to be a quick learner, have reliable attendance, and ability to work as a team member or individually.
Education, Experience, and Skills Requirements
This is an entry-level position that requires a high school diploma or GED. The ideal candidate will possess at least 2 years of work experience in an office or administrative capacity. Skills required are typing, data analysis, filing, and form completion. Programs used include SAP, Outlook, Microsoft Office (Word/Exel), and the Internet.
