Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations within the solar panel manufacturing facility. This role ensures production goals, quality standards, safety requirements, and operational efficiencies are achieved while leading and developing manufacturing personnel. The Manufacturing Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining continuous production flow and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily manufacturing operations and production employees in the solar panel production area.
  • Ensure production schedules and output targets are achieved efficiently and safely.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and operational procedures.
  • Coordinate manpower allocation, staffing, and shift coverage based on production needs.
  • Promote and enforce compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain departments to resolve production issues.
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance activities when necessary.
  • Lead shift meetings and communicate production goals, priorities, and operational updates.
  • Analyze production performance metrics including efficiency, downtime, scrap, and productivity.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate manufacturing employees to ensure high performance and compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.
  • Support implementation of new manufacturing processes, equipment, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, GMP standards, and operational requirements.
Qualifications:Education:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and manufacturing experience may be considered.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of manufacturing experience in an industrial environment.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience required.
  • Experience in solar panel manufacturing, electronics, automotive, or high-volume manufacturing environments preferred.
Technical Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production operations.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Understanding of workplace safety regulations and OSHA standards.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
