Job description

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor – feeders.

What you’ll do:

Primary Function: The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for directly supervising employees in the Production Department, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. The role also requires maintaining a safe work environment free of harassment, discrimination, and upholding high ethical/quality standards while modeling the Leadership Attributes established by Eaton policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:Safety
  • Attend and perform all EHS training assigned.
  • Promote MESH processes and policies to all employees under your supervision.
  • Provide all resources needed to ensure that all MESH policies and procedures are performed by all personnel under your supervision.
  • Actively participate in Job Safety Analysis and timely resolution of safety corrective actions.
Quality
  • Comply with all operational procedures at the area of responsibility to meet Quality System regulations.
  • Use Problem Solving tools to resolve (Six Sigma, 8D) quality issues and establish systems to improve yield, reduce scrap, and minimize rework.
  • Develop employee Problem Solving Skills and establish metrics to monitor employee and area performance (area efficiency, utilization, and equipment downtime) in terms of quality.
Delivery
  • Apply Eaton Lean Six Sigma tools to improve material flow through the production shop floor.
  • Interface with internal business partners to understand their needs related to technology, product reviews, performance objectives, device features/functions, cost, delivery schedules, and quantities.
  • Deliver process and manufacturing excellence.
Inventory
  • Work closely with SCM, OPEX, Quality, HR, and Finance teams to optimize overall operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure material management processes are followed as required to avoid manufacturing disruption, scrap, or shortages.
Productivity
  • Execute Continuous Improvement tools.
  • Lead Tier 2 meetings and manage updates and tracking of Visual Boards.
  • Meet daily production goals by following and prioritizing production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, material supply, and agenda.
  • Plan and administer procedures and budgets; provide budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and labor costs.
  • Perform operation analysis to maximize flow and achieve total product cycle time goals and high productivity.
  • Provide manufacturing direction to coordinators and employees to ensure the completion of a daily manufacturing plan.
  • Monitor and control overtime expenses and absenteeism issues using available tools.
Other: Builds Organizational Capability
  • Implement strategic and tactical manufacturing activities.
  • Select and develop personnel to ensure efficient operation.
  • Develop schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas.
  • Ensure proactive engagement and representation of Manufacturing within other teams.
  • Support change management, process and design innovation, supply chain leverage, cost effectiveness, and process robustness.
  • Set employee objectives aligned with the plant’s key operating objectives and other metrics.
  • Provide on‑time performance feedback, coaching, and counseling tied to objectives, handbook, policies, and procedures.
  • Pursue organizational development strategies for goal alignment and professional skills.
  • Develop and support business team objectives using Six‑Sigma/Lean techniques.
  • Maintain a functional cross‑training matrix.
  • Assure employee time‑card data entry and payment integrity through Time Attendance System.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
IIoT Project Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Discuss key metrics on Tier 2, use IIOT information to define fast response actions, and follow actions with the respective team.
  • Discuss key metrics daily with production floor personnel through IIOT Dashboard, Visual Display, and Tier 1 Board.
  • Support and provide guidance to solve system functionality issues; track usage, discuss discrepancies, and develop corrective/preventive actions through IIOT Dashboard and Shop floor Connectivity.
  • Maintain and enforce usage of TDM and PDES systems in manufacturing areas through Shop Floor Connectivity.
  • Inform of issues and anomalies in Tier meetings via Shop Floor Connectivity.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance of workstations through Infrastructure.
  • Set up new workstations through Infrastructure.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: 3 years of leadership and supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, including plating, machining, stamping, or molding processes.
  • Managing 25–50 HC team members.
  • Languages: English and Spanish (written and spoken).
  • Systems: Computer literate with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and inventory management systems.
