What does a manufacturing supervisor do?

A manufacturing supervisor oversees production personnel and daily operations at a manufacturing or production facility. As a manufacturing supervisor, your duties include determining production schedules, blocking out shifts for workers, and coordinating the workflow. Your responsibilities also include conducting staff reviews, managing worker-related issues, monitoring budgets and schedules to ensure that production goals are being met, and making sure that products have been moved to packing facilities or are ready for shipping from your location. You also collect and analyze data related to production and create reports for your managers.
