Job description

Position Summary DESCRIPTION: The Director leads the Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) team in the support of the Ellucian Banner suite of administrative applications including the Student, Financial Aid, Finance, Human Resources, and Banner Self Service components. The Director is also responsible for the implementation, support and development of interfaces to other administrative and academic systems, management of system upgrades and access to reporting tools and data to support the efficient operation of the College's administrative departments. This position also plays a key leading role in the migration of the Student Information System to the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform.

OUTCOME: Assures YCP and YCDS departments have access to efficient and effective application software systems for information processing needs. Essential Functions Project management for Enterprise Information System implementations and interfaces. 15% Manages the EIS staff in the design, installation and maintenance of enterprise information systems.

Ensures close collaboration with and support of user offices' utilization of enterprise systems 35% Evaluates user requests for new or modified programs to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current system and computer capabilities 15% Coordinates the installation of vendor supplied software systems 15% Plans, coordinates, and implements security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure 5% Evaluates work load and capacity of computer system to determine feasibility of expanding or enhancing computer operations. Makes recommendations for improvements in computer system 5% Evaluates and tests vendor supplied software and hardware to determine compatibility with existing systems, ease of use, and if software meets the needs of users 5% Perform other duties as assigned by the CIO 5% Experience and Education Required B.S. in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field Five years of experience managing enterprise information systems in higher education that includes system selection, analysis, design and implementation Two years supervisory/ management experience Five years of project management experience Required Skills and Qualifications Ability to prioritize and perform various requests Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Willingness to work in a "hands on" environment Additional Information York College of Pennsylvania is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Non-Discriminatory
