JOB TITLE: PROJECT MANAGER/PROGRAM MANAGER

LOCATION: WASHINGTON DC (HQ)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager / Program Manager to oversee multiple strategic initiatives across the organization. The selected resource will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage large-scale enterprise programs, ensure alignment with executive leadership, and deliver results on time and within budget. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong leadership, governance, strategic planning, and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage enterprise-wide programs consisting of multiple interconnected projects.
  • Develop and maintain detailed program plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Manage communication, reporting, approvals, and escalations with executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment of technical teams, business teams, implementation partners, and vendors.
  • Oversee project governance, compliance, and documentation standards.
  • Track KPIs, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure timely execution.
  • Lead stakeholder meetings, steering committee updates, and executive briefings.
  • Develop and implement change management, training, and adoption strategies.
  • Mentor and guide project managers, business analysts, and technical teams.
  • Provide detailed monthly and weekly program status reporting.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in Project/Program Management.
  • 5+ years of experience leading enterprise-wide or multi-project programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in IT transformation, software implementation, or large-scale systems integration.
  • Strong knowledge of program governance, risk management, procurement, and budgeting.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models.
  • Proficiency in PM tools: MS Project, JIRA, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP, PgMP, SAFe or similar certifications.
  • Prior experience working with Federal/Government or public sector clients.
  • Experience with vendor management and contract oversight.
  • Experience with portfolio-level reporting (dashboards, KPIs, scorecards).
