Location: Fort Rucker, AL
Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Job Summary
C. Martin Company is seeking an experienced Program Manager to support key projects at the Fort Novosel Gunnery Range Complex in Fort Novosel, AL.
This position supports Range Operations and Maintenance services for live training at the Aviation Gunnery Range Complex and related training areas. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and completing assigned projects on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, project coordination, customer communication, risk management, and reporting skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects in a military, range operations, training, or government contract environment and must be able to work effectively with government staff, contract personnel, and internal teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Program Manager will perform duties that include, but are not limited to:
  • Coordinate and complete assigned projects on time, within budget, and within scope.
  • Oversee all aspects of assigned projects and task efforts.
  • Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress of project workload.
  • Track and summarize project progress, task status, and deliverables.
  • Prepare reports regarding work status and brief appropriate personnel.
  • Work directly with the Contracting Officer's Representative to ensure deliverables remain within applicable scope and budget.
  • Coordinate with other departments and sections to ensure all aspects of each task are completed in accordance with the scope of work.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools, methods, and techniques.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project and scope-of-work risks.
  • Meet with government staff to clarify specific task requirements and customer expectations.
  • Track project performance and analyze successful completion of short-term and long-term goals.
  • Support budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills to support team performance and mission success.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal teams, leadership, government customers, and stakeholders.
  • Perform other related duties as requested.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Work is primarily performed indoors in an office environment.
  • Position requires sitting at a computer approximately 70% of the shift.
  • Typical work activities include:
    • 70% sitting
    • 10% standing
    • 10% walking
    • 5% reaching
    • 5% lifting
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted.
  • Items over 35 pounds must be lifted with assistance.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and customer requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience coordinating, tracking, and managing projects or task efforts.
  • Ability to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
  • Strong report writing, briefing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work directly with government personnel, contract staff, and internal teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Current Alabama Driver's License.
  • Must be insurable under the company's vehicle insurance policy while operating company, government, or rental vehicles during working hours and for the duration of employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries upon hire.
  • Must successfully pass background screening, including Social Security Number verification, driver record review, and criminal background investigation.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university.
  • Knowledge of Range Facility Management Support Systems.
  • Familiarity with military range-related terminology and regulatory training procedures.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Army Aviation Safety Regulations and Flight Operations procedures.
  • Prior military experience.
  • Experience supporting DoD, Army, aviation, range operations, or government contract environments.
  • Experience preparing presentations, briefings, project reports, and customer-facing documentation.

This position requires the ability to support project execution in a government range operations environment.
