Job Title: Senior Manager, Program Management

Job Description:

The Senior Manager, Program Management leads the execution of multiple continuous production and entering production solid rocket motors.ย  This role is responsible for cost, schedule, technical performance, and customer satisfaction across all operational sites and product lines.

The Senior Manager provides strategic and tactical direction overseeing a team of Program Managers, engages routinely with appropriate prime and government customers, as well as COE peers.ย  The candidate will serve as the senior program leader with accountability for production program proposing, capture, and execution.ย  Success in this role requires strong leadership, disciplined program execution, and the ability to drive results across multiple cross functional teams.

Essential Functions:

  • Owns cost, schedule, resourcing, contractual compliance, and technical performance for multiple production programs within the portfolio across Firm Fixed Price, Fixed Price Incentive, and Const-Plus programs.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Program Managers supporting Production programs at multiple sites.
  • Conduct regular program reviews, including cost, schedule, earned value, technical performance, and risk management assessments.
  • Present progress, plans, and results in multiple internal and external forums.
  • Directly and through support develop competitive proposals for follow on production opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships with Prime and Government mission partners within the portfolio.
  • Direct financial planning and execution for the assigned portfolio including baseline development and approval, EAC maintenance, cash management, and financial forecasing.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory, export, safety, and corporate policies.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Ability to obtain US Secret clearance.ย 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Proficiency in EVMS principles and leading programs with EVM requirements.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, customer facing, and executive level presentation skills
  • Experience with DoW contract execution
  • Position requires overtime work as needed to meet business objectives
  • Working knowledge of general production systems/methods and lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience with hardware production desired
  • Experience with solid rocket motor component development and production desired
