TSC Operation Highlights

TSC's Radar and Precision Weapons Development Operation provides products and services in the areas of radar, communication systems, sensors, antennas and other electronics systems to the missile, radar/sensor system, communications, control systems, data acquisition, and signal processing markets. Job Description

TSC's Research and Development group in Huntsville, AL is currently looking to hire a Mid-Level Program Manager. This position will be responsible for managing mid-level programs or serving as a deputy program manager on complex programs. This includes tasks that involve design and development of RF, analog, high speed digital, embedded software and firmware efforts. It is expected that the candidate will take ownership to develop and grow relationships with Government program offices, as well as public sector customers. As a Program Manager, you will have ultimate responsibility for overall program execution. Through successful program execution, the candidate will also bring in new business by positioning TSC to be the preferred partner for new programs with existing customers. The successful candidate will also support business development efforts associated with existing as well as new potential customers in the following areas: RF seekers, sensors, target detection devices, electronic warfare systems, and datalinks.

Responsibilities

  • Establish baseline funding, spend plan, and a high-level milestone-based schedule at program kickoff.

  • Work with the technical staff to establish a low-level task-based schedule from a proposed spend plan.

  • Track program execution spending and milestone completion against baselined spending and milestone plan.

  • Work with the technical staff, supply chain, manufacturing, and contracts staff to identify programmatic risks over the execution life of the program.

  • Manage risk mitigation strategies across the program.

  • Work closely with the program staff to ensure that schedules are maintained to meet customer objectives and milestones.

  • Manage customer expectations regarding cost, schedule, and technical aspects of the program.

  • Report health and status of active programs during internal program reviews and customer briefs.

  • Cross functional leadership to ensure designs achieve customer requirements, delivery dates, and milestone objectives.

  • Oversee program materials purchasing, inventory and material transactions.

  • Manage product and sub-component part obsolescence and engage with contract manufacturers to maintain costs and program timeline against baseline.

  • Support hardware demonstrations, technical discussions, and Q&A withcustomers.

  • Capture management of new opportunities with existingcustomers.

  • Support business development efforts to expand into newmarkets/customers.

  • Track new and upcoming programs of potential customers, fostering relationships, and positioning TSC to be the preferred solution provider.

  • Assist in the creation of large proposals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience or master's degree and 3+ years of experience in project/program management.

  • Demonstrated expertise in program management with experience preferred in government hardware related programs to include managing hardware development, fabrication, and testing activities.

  • Demonstrated experience in vendor or subcontractor management.

  • Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office products. Must have skilled ability to create PowerPoint briefings, Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, and schedules using Project.

  • Self-motivated and free-thinking individual comfortable assuming a leadership role and significant customer interaction.

  • Experience in generating responses to Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Quote/Proposal (RFQ/RFP).

  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize work and maximize productivity.

  • Experience with RF, Radar, Counter UAS, or ISR operations.
