Description

Create Latin America region business strategy to leverage GC product quality and diversity for the purpose of increasing sales across Mexico, Brazil, Columbia and other key dental markets throughout the region. Provide leadership for country managers, sales representatives, regulatory and educational specialists as well as independent promoters to align them on key product sales opportunities to dentists, dealers and government/university tenders. Support regional dealers on issues ranging from inventory and pricing to logistics and product use. Align with President / COO on key regional growth priorities and resources. Manage customer service, marketing and education team in Chicago office.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Director will take a 'hands on' approach to evaluate our current marketing, and sales capabilities and develop/execute budgets and business plans that align with our corporate philosophy, growth strategy and regional performance goals

Communicate expectations, provide direction, performance feedback and recognition to associates. Discipline associates where necessary.

Maintain positive work environment providing communication, recognition and fair application of policies and practices.

Develop the sales and marketing capabilities to exploit new market opportunities on a country-by-country basis and be well versed on the art of VOC collection.

Develop an understanding of the unique, regulatory, operating and financial dynamics of each Latin American country's business environment and drive continuous improvement across process platforms and functions

Develop an understanding of the unique manufacturing, regulatory, operating and financial dynamics of each Latin American country's business environment and drive continuous improvement across process platforms and functions

Work closely with our President/Chief Operating Officer and Executive Committee to calibrate resource allocation across Latin America operations based on anticipated return on investment.

Build our Latin America operations to accommodate future growth, focusing on the corporate structure, facilities, people and strategy we need to create and maximize market opportunities first in Mexico and Brazil, and then across Central America and South America.

Develop and manage annual department expense budget

Prepare monthly, quarterly, semiannual, annual, mid-term and ad hoc reports and/or presentations on planned activities

Uphold the principles and practices of the GQM business management system, including QC Thinking, Kaizen Innovation, and the corporate philosophy of GC no Kokoro.

Participate in regulatory compliance activities related to the job function, including quality audits, adverse event reporting for company products, and adherence to Good Documentation Practices for reporting and record keeping.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, International Business, Organizational Development or related field.  
  • Minimum of 10 years sales and business development experience in LATAM area. Fluency in English and Spanish and/or Portuguese. Cultural fluency toward international operations in general and LATAM area in specific. Some level of familiarity with 5S, Kaizen Innovation.
  • Strong MS Office Suite skills, Video conferencing

Ability for unrestricted travel (not inclusive of travel to Alsip office) up to 50% primarily to LATAM region
