Adecco is assisting a local client recruiting for Machine Operator opportunities in Swannanoa, NC. Responsibilities for a Machine Operator include but are not limited to:

  • Set up, operate, and tend multiple cutting and forming machine tools, robots, lathes, cutters, millers, and grinders to produce metallic and plastic workpieces.

  • Inspect workpieces for defects and measure finished products using rules, templates, or measuring instruments to determine the accuracy of the machine operation.

  • Read blueprints or job orders to determine product specifications, plan operational sequences, and adjust machines to correct malfunctions.

  • Perform minor machine maintenance and repairs, such as cleaning, oiling, changing worn accessories like cutting tools, or adding coolant to reservoirs.

Candidates for Machine Operator must meet the following requirements to be considered:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 0-2 years of related machine operation or manufacturing experience.

  • Basic ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.

  • Strong attention to detail, basic knowledge of production processes, and the ability to troubleshoot minor machine adjustments.
