Summary
The Sales SMERF Manager OEM will perform and execute account development. In addition, the sales manager will assist sales and marketing in the planning of various marketing opportunities. Management-level associates are expected to work as much of each workday as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities; for OEM associates, overtime does apply and is calculated accordingly.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage reservations to ensure maximum revenue, promotional coverage, and marketing opportunities are achieved
  • Work closely with revenue management and marketing functions to develop strategies to grow market share
  • Maintain and promote teamwork with effective and clear communication
  • Follow and track company cross-sell procedures
  • Create a focus on attracting new business
  • Lead on-property sales functions to build long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of hotel sales objectives
  • Evaluate and drive the hotel's participation in various sales channels: Market Sales, Event Booking Centers, Electronic Lead channels, etc.
  • Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating a proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence)
  • Deployed to Sports, Social, Ethnic, Religious, Entertainment/Tour/Travel, and Family Reunions from the SMERF Market Segment
