Area Sales Manager - Lehi Hotel Portfolio
Western States Lodging & Management
Western States Lodging & Management is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive revenue growth and expand market presence across our Lehi-area hotel portfolio. This multi-property role supports several well-known hotel brands in one of Utah's fastest-growing business corridors.

About the Role
As the Area Sales Manager, you'll play an active role in growing revenue across multiple hotels by executing sales strategies, developing new business, and strengthening client relationships.
Working alongside General Managers, Area Directors of Sales, and regional leadership, you'll help identify market opportunities, contribute ideas to local sales strategies, and execute initiatives that drive occupancy and revenue growth.This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on selling. You'll spend much of your time prospecting, networking, managing accounts, conducting outside sales calls, and building lasting relationships while providing valuable market insight that helps to shape future sales initiatives.
Regular travel between assigned hotels throughout the Lehi market and active participation within the Silicon Slopes and Utah County business communities is expected.
What You'll Do
Sales & Business Development
  • Prospect and secure new corporate, government, group, and extended-stay business.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing client accounts.
  • Respond promptly to RFPs, inbound leads, and sales inquiries.
  • Conduct outside sales calls, client meetings, hotel tours, and presentations.
  • Negotiate contracts and group agreements within established pricing guidelines.
  • Represent assigned hotels through networking events, chambers of commerce, trade shows, and community organizations.

Strategy & Market Insight
  • Partner with Area Directors of Sales, General Managers, and hotel leadership to execute market-specific sales strategies.
  • Provide market intelligence and customer feedback that helps identify new business opportunities.
  • Recommend tactical sales initiatives based on customer needs and local market trends.
  • Support portfolio sales initiatives, promotions, and business development efforts.

Account Management & Collaboration
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately document activity within CRM.
  • Coordinate with hotel operations to ensure successful execution of group business.
  • Monitor account performance and identify opportunities to expand existing relationships.
  • Collaborate with hotel teams to deliver an exceptional guest and client experience.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of five years of hotel or hospitality sales experience
  • Proven history of meeting or exceeding revenue and sales goals
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel regularly between assigned Lehi-area hotels
  • Highly organized with excellent time management and self-motivation
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Experience with Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, or other nationally recognized hotel brands preferred
  • Previous multi-property or regional hotel sales experience preferred
