The goal is to maximize customer lifetime value, reduce churn, and enhance overall satisfaction by delivering targeted communications at key stages. DESCRIPTION

Sinch is looking for a Senior Lifecyle Marketing Manager to ensure Mailgun customers don\'t just sign up—they actively adopt, engage with, and extract ongoing value from our platform. As the global owner of Mailgun\'s lifecycle marketing strategy, you will define and execute the strategy for moving self-serve users from signup through activation, paid conversion, and long-term engagement.

This role is focused on driving user activation, deepening product engagement, and maximizing customer lifetime value through data-driven lifecycle programs that directly support business growth. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in lifecycle marketing, onboarding optimization, and user retention strategies within a B2B SaaS product-led growth (PLG) environment. You obsess over cohort retention curves, understand the psychology of behavior change, and know how to design, optimize, and evolve engagement experiences that drive meaningful customer and business outcomes

What you will do:

  • Design, build, and continuously evolve lifecycle experiences across email, in-app messaging, and other customer touchpoints that help users realize value faster and move confidently from signup to paid.

  • Identify customer-journey friction that cannot be solved through lifecycle messaging alone, develop evidence-based recommendations, and drive prioritization and execution with Product, Growth, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success.

  • Audit Mailgun’s existing lifecycle programs and independently prioritize, redesign, retire, or build journeys based on performance.

  • Establish the lifecycle measurement framework, use performance and product-usage data to identify opportunities, and own optimization of activation, conversion, engagement, retention, and attributed revenue.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience leading lifecycle marketing initiatives within a B2B SaaS organization, ideally in a product-led growth (PLG) subscription business.

  • Proven success building and optimizing lifecycle programs using experimentation, customer insights, and data to improve activation, conversion, and retention.

  • Strong project management and prioritization skills, with the ability to independently balance multiple initiatives and drive them to completion.

  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams, including Product, Growth, Marketing, Customer Success, and Engineering, to deliver customer-focused outcomes.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate customer insights and data into actionable recommendations.

  • Experience with lifecycle marketing platforms, in-app messaging tools (such as Gainsight), marketing automation platforms, and product analytics tools.

This role is primarily remote, but candidates must reside near one of our hub locations for occasional collaboration: Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; San Antonio, TX; Denver, CO; Seattle, WA
