Part-Time Library Delivery Driver

The State of New Hampshire, Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, New Hampshire State Library, has a part-time vacancy for a Library Delivery Driver.
Summary:
Operates and maintains vehicle and delivers book and non-book materials to libraries on pre-determined routes for the State Library.
Responsibilities:
Operates delivery vehicle to maintain pre-determined routes throughout the state in a safe manner, without distractions, following all the rules of the road, including hands free driving.
Maintains vehicles for use by self and other staff to ensure cleanliness, appearance and availability on a daily basis.
Delivers and receives book and non-book material in bins, cartons, boxes and bags, weighing up to 50 lbs., at scheduled stops to provide interlibrary loan services to libraries.
Provides daily records of materials transported as required, and maintains monthly vehicular records and submits to the fleet manager monthly.
As representative of the New Hampshire State Library, practices good customer service skills when providing van delivery service to libraries or when coming in contact with the general public.
Provides other deliveries for the agency as requested.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience: 8th grade education
License/Certification: Valid driver's license
Other Requirements:
1. Must be able to bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
2. Must be able to work and drive in adverse weather conditions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: None
AFTER-HIRE REQUIREMENTS: Completion of defensive driving course at start of employment and prior to operating vehicle
