Our client, a leading national telecommunications company, is seeking detail-oriented and self-motivated Legal Consultants to join their Criminal Response Team in Basking Ridge, NJ. This is a hybrid position (2 days a week from home, 3 in the office) in a fast-paced, high-volume environment focused on legal matters. The schedule is 5 days/week and assigned shift will include weekend and night hours. As an example, one shift could be Tues-Sat. 6pm-3 am. Four paid weeks of training will be required, Monday through Friday, 8 AM–5 PM.


The ideal candidates will demonstrate strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently while maintaining strict confidentiality. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in legal operations and compliance support. The client is looking to have candidates start ASAP, so apply quickly!


Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Demonstrate a keen ability to multi-task while still making sound decisions under high pressure situations, life and death situations.
  • Ensure that all cases are correctly documented and managed end to end in compliance with all applicable laws and company procedures. This includes validating, logging and responding to all subpoenas, court orders and search warrants served upon the company for customer records.
  • Demonstrate sound decision making and understanding of when a matter needs to be escalated or referred to management to achieve the best possible outcome for all parties.
  • Manage workload effectively to complete high priority task with compliance guidelines.
  • Understanding of and willingness to learn about basic legal concepts, terminology, principles, and procedures.
  • Enter customer and account data from source documents within time limits by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes. This includes a combination of data entry of legal process into Verizon's workflow management system and handling calls.
  • Strong customer service or dispatch like work for handling high call volumes of a dynamic nature.
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities and checking output.
  • Work independently.
  • Accuracy and Attention to detail.
  • Proficient typing and transcription.
  • Computer and technical skills.
  • Organizational and time management abilities.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Legal background, education, or experience is a plus (Paralegal certificate not required).
