In accordance with Washington state law, we are highlighting our comprehensive benefits package, which is available to all eligible US based employees.

  • Paid Time Off: 20 days of vacation per year, accruing at a rate of 6.15 hours per pay period for the first five years of employment
  • Sick Time: 40 hours/year (increased to 69 hours/year for Seattle) including 5 discretionary sick days per instance
  • Maternity Leave (Short-Term Disability + Baby Bonding): 28-30 weeks
  • Baby Bonding Leave: 18 weeks
  • Holidays: 13 paid days per year

Preferred working location: Atlanta, Chicago, Washington D.C., Austin.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 3 years of attorney-level experience in government, inโ€‘house, or at a law firm.
  • Experience in commercial contracting.
  • Admitted to the bar and in good standing, or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., registered inโ€‘house status) in the state in which the position is located.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of contract, privacy, IP, or employment law issues in a technology context.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability and enthusiasm to leverage cuttingโ€‘edge developments in AI to enable smarter and more efficient work processes.
  • Desire to find flexible, creative solutions to complex and difficult challenges, and work in a fastโ€‘moving environment.

ProLegal (Procurement Legal) is a global team of experienced deal lawyers and client advisors focused on powering Googleโ€™s business and protecting the companyโ€™s interests. ProLegal oversees a critical portfolio of crossโ€‘company procurement contracting, strategic partnership deals, and highโ€‘impact client counseling on enterpriseโ€‘wide operations.

Individual pay is determined by factors including jobโ€‘related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $217,000 โ€“ $315,000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
  • Structure, draft, and negotiate highโ€‘value, complex commercial agreements for Googleโ€™s largest and most strategic supplier relationships, including cuttingโ€‘edge technology and enterprise services engagements.
  • Advise business clients and leadership pragmatically on legal issues and contracting approaches impacting enterpriseโ€‘wide, global operations.
  • Partner closely with crossโ€‘functional experts across compliance, privacy and information security, employment, and tax to deliver unified, holistic risk management strategies on major deals.
  • Drive the continuous evolution of legal operations, deal processes, and company policies, including through the application of AI tools.
