Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our law firm’s diverse practice areas, including estate planning, real estate and estate administration. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and the ability to manage complex Partner schedules. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment, providing essential support to attorneys and clients while ensuring efficient case management and document handling.
Duties
  • Manage and maintain legal files.
  • Type, review, and proofread legal documents, contracts, pleadings and correspondence with precision.
  • Assist attorneys with legal case management tasks including document review, data entry and filing.
  • Provide executive administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling phone etiquette professionally.
  • Perform administrative duties such as data entry, filing, proofreading and maintaining organized records of legal documents.
  • Assist with project management tasks related to ongoing cases or firm initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a legal administrative role within a law office setting.
  • Strong knowledge of legal practice areas such as estate planning, estate administration and/or real estate.
  • Demonstrated experience in legal typing, proofreading and document review.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
  • Paralegal experience or background is highly desirable.
