Job description

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Working and maintaining client cases in Case Management Software
  2. Preparing and sending letters of representation
  3. Obtaining police reports/incident reports
  4. Obtaining driver records
  5. Obtaining cell phone records
  6. Handling property damage claims
  7. Making Open Records Requests for reports, dash cam and body camera videos from law enforcement
  8. Verifying insurance and setting up liability, personal injury protection, uninsured/underinsured and health insurance claims
  9. Sending out Preservation Notices to adverse carriers and defendants
  10. Setting up inspections, if needed
  11. Drafting client correspondence
  12. Communicating with clients to determine medical provider information
  13. Maintaining client contact to determine treatment status
  14. Obtaining a health insurance or Medicaid/Medicare statement of payments made on behalf of the client and making sure they relate to the accident
  15. Obtaining lien or subrogation information and updating Case Management Software
  16. Preparing demand letters for liability, personal injury protection and uninsured/underinsured
  17. Assisting with follow up calls to adjusters
  18. Scheduling regular monthly file reviews with attorneys
  19. Preparing settlement breakdowns
  20. Assisting with obtaining reductions
  21. Assist the Paralegal and Attorney
  22. Prepare Binders with Discovery materials
  23. Prepare Binders in preparation for a hearing, deposition, or mediation
  24. Properly disposing of confidential materials
  25. Saving and adding invoices to expenses in case management software
  26. Saving E-filings and E-service files and posting them on case management software

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Strong analytical skills
  2. Power user of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat Professional
  3. Familiarity with Case Management software a plus
  4. Organized
  5. Ability to work well under pressure
  6. Speak Spanish

Education and Requirements:

  1. Minimum 2 years of experience in personal injury law
