Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Legal Case Assistant to join our legal team. This role involves obtaining and organizing case documents, including medical records and billing statements, and requesting records from different authorities such as law enforcement and the DMV.
The Legal Case Assistant will support the paralegal team by helping collect, organize, and maintain case documentation. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in personal injury cases, ensuring timely progression and adherence to deadlines.
  • Request, track, and organize medical records, billing statements, police reports, and other relevant documentation.
  • Maintain well-organized and up-to-date case files in accordance with firm protocols and legal standards.
  • Coordinate client medical treatment and monitor progress to support case value and resolution.
  • Assist attorneys with support tasks, including preparation of materials when applicable.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and workflow compliance with applicable legal procedures and firm policies.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience in a related field; paralegal certification is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy in all work.
  • Previous experience in a law office or similar environment is preferred but not required.
  • Tech savvy.
  • Fluency in English / Spanish required.
