Job description

Manager, Learning Experience Design - Auto (Hybrid)
The Auto Sales Center of Excellence is an innovation focused organization that is designed to out-pace the market. We are not looking for someone to manage a content factory, we are recruiting a proven Adult Learning Designer who can run at our speed and design world-class training for our 800 teammates who serve 18,000 dealerships nationwide.
As an equal partner with our product development and sales professionals, you will be part of an L&D team that is critical to the success of our organization. Together, we will design, build, and deliver high-impact learning across all media that enables success for our people. Your ultimate mandate will be to move beyond traditional training - leveraging AI, technology, and an organization that will support your ideas - to deliver "in the flow of work" learning, reduce time out-of-market, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
What You Will Do
  • Set the Standard: Bring high-tech solutions and cutting-edge methodology to learning design.
  • Innovative with AI: Using AI to drive efficiency is table-stakes, we're looking for an innovator who can creatively integrate AI into the learning experience to increase the impact of every learning experience we deliver.
  • Hands-on Creation: You will be responsible for the creative work from start to finish. This includes writing video scripts, mapping out courses, building simulations, and creating digital games.
  • Fix the Classroom: Turn our live and virtual classes into workshops. Instead of sitting through lectures, you'll design sessions where people spend their time practicing skills and getting feedback.
  • Build for the Flow of Work: Create short, 1-to-5-minute lessons that live where our employees already spend their time; Slack, our Google Suite, and "Cruiser" (our custom-designed, cloud-based home for all sales software applications).
  • Prove It Works: Go beyond attendance and completion rates, and use data to see if our professionals are actually changing how they work and achieving their goals.
  • Be the Expert: You will work closely with our learning consultants and SMEs to turn business needs into training that works. You will decide the best way to build a solution; whether that's a video, a live workshop, or a digital game.

Why Join Us?
You'll have the freedom to experiment with new tools and the authority to change how we teach. Your voice will be valued, and you will have a seat at the table in every aspect of operations. If you like building excellence and hate "check-the-box" training, you'll fit in here.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • At least 5 years of experience in learning design and development
  • At least 3 years of experience with Articulate Storyline
  • At least 2 years of experience integrating learning into a modern Learning Management System (LMS)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree
  • 1+ years of experience with the Docebo LMS
  • 4+ years of experience in design for digital modalities
  • 4+ years of experience with multimedia photo and video editing software
  • Experience using Experience API (xAPI) or similar data tools to track how people use learning materials outside of a standard classroom.
  • Experience working in an environment where you treated a learning program like a product, using feedback and data for continuous, iterative improvement
  • Familiarity with using technology to build learning simulations
  • Portfolio of work that shows examples of digital learning, live workshop materials, and the integration of AI
  • Experience building AI Agents or specific prompt libraries as learning aids
  • Project Management experience or certification (PMP, CAPM, Google)
  • 6Ds or other adult learning and design certifications
