Job description

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sr. Learning Systems Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Learning Management Systems (LMS), learning technologies, reporting and analytics, system integrations, and training administration. This role will serve as the primary resource for LMS support and troubleshooting while helping drive learning technology improvements, workforce readiness initiatives, and learning systems implementation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support the LMS, including course setup, curricula, assignments, user support, troubleshooting, and records management.

  • Manage recurring compliance, qualification, certification, and training reports.

  • Support training administration, workforce readiness tracking, and learning data quality initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting that provide visibility into training progress and qualifications.

  • Serve as a business and functional resource for the planned migration to a new LMS platform.

  • Partner with stakeholders to support learning technology initiatives.

  • Document current learning processes, system configurations, reports, curricula, assignments, records, and integration requirements.

  • Coordinate data inventory, cleansing, validation, migration mapping, testing, and post-migration reconciliation activities.

  • Participate in solution design, integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), issue resolution, and deployment readiness activities.

  • Support development of training materials, administrator preparation, user communications, change management, and adoption planning.

  • Establish and maintain standard procedures for request intake, prioritization, testing, documentation, change control, and service communication.

  • Support deployment and measurement of priority curricula, operational learning assets, and workforce development initiatives, including training pilots and learning programs.

  • Evaluate opportunities for automation, process improvement, and AI-enabled learning solutions aligned with approved business needs.

  • Maintain focus on LMS reliability, learner support, and training program administration while supporting strategic learning technology projects.

  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across Operations, Training, Human Resources, Information Technology, and vendor teams.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

  • Experience with learning analytics, dashboards, reporting tools, and data governance practices preferred.

  • Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently while supporting multiple stakeholders.

  • Ability to facilitate meetings, testing activities, training sessions, and user support efforts.

  • Travel as needed, up to 15%.

  • Additional duties may be assigned to meet the growing needs of the organization.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Educational Technology, Information Systems, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience administering a Learning Management System (LMS), learning technology platform, HRIS, or related business system.

  • Experience supporting training records, learning assignments, curricula, certifications, qualifications, and compliance-based training programs.

  • Experience working with enterprise systems, reporting tools, and data management processes.

  • Experience supporting software implementations, system migrations, or technology projects preferred.

  • Knowledge of learning management systems, instructional technologies, and workforce development programs.

  • Experience with Cornerstone, Workday, SAP, Databricks, Power BI, or similar enterprise applications preferred.

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience or equivalent experience.

  • The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience or equivalent experience.

  • The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant job related experience or equivalent experience.
