Job description

Remote Mainframe Java Developer

The Mainframe Java Developer will help modernize, move to cloud, and create one IDM Portal rather than separate applications with a large healthcare client.

Top Responsibilities

  • Hands on developer who can code and lead
  • Attend agile meetings
  • Attend design sessions for the modernization
  • Develop, test, and set up infrastructure
  • Provide operational support

Required skills/technologies

  • Skilled Java Developer with 8+ years of experience using Java (version 8+ or newer)
  • At least 5 years of experience with API development with Graph QL or REST
  • Experience modernizing monolithic applications from on prem to cloud (AWS preferred)
  • Experience working with Spring Framework (Spring boot/Spring batch/Spring cloud)
  • Experience with Rexx on backend development
  • Experience with RACF as an IDM tool
  • Experience with Mainframe automation (SailPoint preferred)
  • At least 1 year of cloud experience using AWS/GCP
  • Experience with NoSQL and/or Graph DB
  • Strong test automation/TDD experience
  • Dev Ops experience building CI/CD pipelines
