Job description

tango is a leader in the home care health management industry and is preparing for significant growth! We are hiring aSenior Healthcare Analyst to join our team!

The Senior Healthcare Analyst will work with many diverse types and sources of healthcare data, including referral, authorization and claims data. This person will have a general understanding of healthcare claims data and a working knowledge of coding (ICD, HCPCS, CPT etc.). This individual will also have a strong analytic background and experience working with healthcare data and strong experience with Power BI and SQL. This person will develop reports and analyses that identify results and translate those results into informative, actionable descriptions and visualizations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead as Power BI subject matter expert
  • Support business team in requirements gathering
  • Work with data integration team to define and load data sources from multiple data warehouse systems
  • Function as the primary liaison between the business team and IT to ensure timely delivery of world-class products
  • In-source and manipulate metadata in Power Query for optimal Power BI report performance
  • Build Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements
  • Build out UAT scripts and run test sessions to support "ready to go" state for reporting
  • Maintain thorough documentation of internal processes/procedures and individual projects
  • Provide a point-of-view to business team on enhancement opportunities with each Power BI release
  • Lead training sessions and share learnings

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Required or equivalent experience

Experience

  • Senior Data Analyst 5-10 years of experience
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Home Health experience is a plus

Qualifications

  • Project management proficiency - proven ability to successfully lead complex projects (5+ Years)
  • Querying SQL Server, Teradata, Greenplum, or Hadoop (1+ Year)
  • Knowledge of database management, including diagnostics and resolution of database errors (1+ Year)
  • Working knowledge of Power BI (1+ Year)
  • Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel and Power Point (3+ Years)
