Inventory Management Analyst

Job Overview:


The Inventory Management Analyst supports inventory control and cost analytics activities for Toyota Automated Logistics, contributing to accurate inventory valuation, product costing, and financial transparency. This position works closely with Supply Operations and Accounting to ensure inventory data integrity and compliance with accounting standards. By applying strong analytical and accounting expertise, the role provides timely and reliable insights that support operational efficiency, cost management, and informed business decisionmaking.
Job Functions:

Essential Functions

  • Inventory Control & Data Integrity
    • Monitor inventory balances, transactions, and aging to support accuracy and proper valuation.
    • Investigate inventory reconciliation variances between operational system and financial records, partnering with Supply Operations to identify root causes and corrective actions.
    • Support cycle counts and physical inventories, analyze and report results.
    • Maintain inventory controls for adherence to internal policies and procedures.
  • Cost Analytics & Product Costing
    • Support standard cost maintenance, cost updates, and product cost roll-ups.
    • Assess inventory impacts on COGS, margins and working capital.
    • Provide cost and inventory insights for operational and financial decision-making.
  • Compliance & Reporting
    • Automate and maintain inventory and cost reports, metrics, KPIs (inventory turns, accuracy, excess and obsolete, variances)
    • Deliver timely and accurate analysis to stakeholders across Supply Operations, Finance and leadership.
    • Clearly communicate inventory and cost trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
    • Drive efforts to improve inventory accuracy, cost visibility, and process efficiency.
    • Support system and process enhancements related to inventory management and cost accounting.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to support standardized processes and best practices.

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel up to 5%.
  • Ability to travel for purpose of site visits and training as required. (Travel expenses paid by Toyota Automated Logistics)

Required Qualifications and Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory management, cost analytics, or cost accounting.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control concepts and accounting principles.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and inventory modules.
  • Proficient in Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work well with a diverse group of peers in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong work ethic, initiative, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to the business.
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
  • Employees must follow all information security policies, protect confidential data, complete required training, and report any suspected security incidents to support our information security controls.
