Job description

The Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for executing strategies that foster associate engagement, reinforce company mission and values, and ensure clear, effective communication across Jackson Healthcare and its family of companies. This role manages day-to-day internal communications platforms and supports associate engagement initiatives to create a connected and informed workplace. Working cross-functionally with the companyโ€™s corporate team, the Internal Communications Specialist supports key initiatives, launches, and events to ensure communications are articulate, consumable, and backed by high-quality deliverables and clear calls to action. The role requires strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with leaders and subject matter experts across the organization.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


Internal Communications

  • Execute internal communication strategies that drive associate engagement and alignment with company values
  • Manage internal content calendar
  • Create and publish written and visual content for internal social platforms, digital signage, and knowledge tools
  • Support ongoing system/tool management and help drive adoption and effective use of internal communications platforms across the organization
  • Assist with management of internal assets, including digital asset libraries, templates, messaging frameworks, and the company store


Event Support

  • In conjunction with Communications, Creative, and Associate Experience teams, support execution of communications for associate events, engagement functions, and community impact and partner activities
  • Assist with communications and materials supporting business meetings, including kickoff and mid-year meetings, town halls, and associate celebrations
  • Contribute to development of event-related materials such as signage, presentations, and digital promotions


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner across the corporate team, working with subject matter experts to support communications and deliverables tied to key initiatives, launches, and associate calls to action
  • Develop clear, concise communications and materials (e.g., posts, digital signage, desk drops, banners, and mailers) that support business needs
  • Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, and Creative teams to support new associate onboarding and early associate experience communications and touchpoints
  • Support internal communications during incidents and time-sensitive situations, ensuring timely and accurate messaging


Measurement & Reporting

  • Track and report on internal communications performance, including platform engagement and content effectiveness
  • Support development of insights and recommendations to improve communication reach, clarity, and impact


QUALIFICATIONS โ€“ EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS:


REQUIRED

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or related field
  • 4โ€“6 years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related field


PREFERRED

  • Agency experience a plus
  • Basic visual design skills a plus
