Job description

Korean Bilingual Transportation Operations Manager

Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for end-to-end operational execution of hydrogen drayage and rail shuttle services in the LA/LB market.
This role oversees customer accounts, carrier (execution partner) management, dispatch planning, hydrogen fleet utilization, and yard/office operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient transportation performance.
The position requires strong operational leadership, real-time problem-solving capability, and the ability to manage both internal drivers and external carriers in a fast-paced port environment.


Responsibilities & Essential Functions
1. Operational Leadership
Own end-to-end operations for LA/LB hydrogen drayage
Develop dispatch strategy and optimize fleet utilization
Ensure on-time performance and operational efficiency


2. Customer & Carrier Management
Manage day-to-day relationships with key customers and ensure service performance (on-time delivery, communication, issue resolution)
Oversee execution partners (carriers); monitor performance, enforce service standards, and manage capacity allocation
Resolve service escalations, appointment issues, and billing/BOL discrepancies


3. Dispatch Planning & Execution
Develop and manage daily dispatch plans for port drayage and rail ramp shuttle operations
Assign loads, monitor real-time execution, and adjust dispatch to optimize utilization and service levels
Coordinate port/terminal appointments and ensure efficient container flow


4. Core Transportation Operations
Oversee key transportation activities:
o Port drayage (LA/LB customer locations) 3483 Satellite Blvd, Suite 101S,
Duluth, GA 30096

o Rail ramp container shuttle operations
Drive KPIs including turns per truck, on-time performance, and asset utilization

5. Hydrogen Fleet Management & Maintenance
Manage hydrogen vehicle operations, including daily readiness and utilization
Coordinate preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs with vendors
Monitor hydrogen fueling operations and ensure operational continuity

6. Yard & Office Operations
Oversee yard operations including container/chassis management and space utilization
Ensure proper inventory tracking of containers, chassis, and fleet assets
Maintain safe, compliant, and efficient working environment across yard and office


7. Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, CARB, and port regulations
Monitor driver qualification files (DQ), ELD/HOS compliance, and incident reporting
Lead safety meetings and enforce company safety policies


8. Team Leadership & Performance Management
Lead and manage dispatch/operations team
Set performance expectations and monitor KPIs
Coach and develop team members


9. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Track and report operational KPIs (utilization, dwell time, empty miles, service levels)
Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements
Maintain accurate data in TMS and dispatch systems


Qualifications & Requirements
Associate's or Bachelor's degree
5-8+ years (Manager) in trucking, logistics, or drayage operations
2+ years in a supervisory or management role
Strong experience in port drayage or intermodal operations (LA/LB strongly preferred)
Hands-on experience with dispatch, driver management, and daily operations execution
Working knowledge of ELD/HOS, DQ file management, and safety compliance
Strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
Experience managing third-party carriers (execution partners)
Familiarity with hydrogen or alternative fuel vehicle operations (preferred)
