Overview Intermodal Operations Supervisor - Florida. IMEX USA is a leading provider of railroad terminal services across Florida. We are seeking a hands-on, motivated, and detail-oriented Intermodal Operations Supervisor to lead daily terminal operations with a focus on efficiency, safety, and team leadership. Position SummaryThe Intermodal Operations Supervisor oversees daily terminal operations, ensuring the safe, efficient movement of intermodal containers and the smooth coordination of all onsite activities. This leader manages yard flow, staffing, customer communication, and regulatory compliance to keep the Jacksonville facility running at peak performance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, 24/7 intermodal environment-someone who's not afraid to be out in the field, leading from the ground up, ensuring operations run smoothly and safely. The Intermodal Operations Supervisor will oversee the movement, staging, and dispatching of containers and trailers, ensuring all activities align with company standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols. This individual plays a key role in maintaining workflow integrity, minimizing delays, and fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Operational Oversight * Supervise all inbound/outbound container activity and yard operations. * Maintain accurate equipment inventories, gate logs, and system updates. * Monitor activity in real time, identify delays, and coordinate dispatch needs. * Enforce all safety standards and comply with DOT, OSHA, and company regulations. Team Leadership * Lead, train, and support clerks, spotters, and yard personnel. * Assign tasks, create schedules, and ensure team accountability. * Conduct performance reviews and reinforce a strong safety-first culture. Customer & Partner Coordination * Serve as the primary onsite contact for customers, drivers, rail partners, and drayage carriers. * Provide timely service updates and professional communication. * Resolve service issues quickly and effectively. Reporting & Compliance * Review daily operational reports, load statuses, and system entries. * Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, audits, and company SOPs. * Identify operational gaps and implement improvement strategies. Qualifications * 2+ years of intermodal, logistics, or transportation operations experience. * Supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred. * Solid understanding of container handling, drayage processes, and rail operations. * Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work flexible hours based on operational needs.   • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely navigate yard and rail environments.
