Role Summary:
As an Intermodal Logistics Coordinator you will be overseeing and facilitating the supply chain operations of our company, you will be the one to coordinate personnel and process to achieve the effective distribution of goods. The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency. This is a collaborative team environment, and we are all responsible for the overall customer and carrier experience and have responsibility for all duties listed below.

Hours of Work:
8.5 hours a day Monday to Friday with 30 minute unpaid lunch break.
Hours can be flexible depending on employee or company’s need: Monday to Friday, 8.5 hours a day between 8:00am–6:30pm (meaning shift cannot start earlier than 8AM or finish later than 6:30PM but will not be more than 8.5 hours).

Key Accountabilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate daily logistics operations for assigned customer accounts, ensuring smooth execution of load booking, customer service, track-and-trace, and order closure (excluding quoting and billing/spot shipments).
  • Support a high level of customer satisfaction by responding promptly to customer requests and proactively communicating shipment status, ETAs, and service updates.
  • Work closely with drivers, dispatch, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely pickups and deliveries and to resolve operational issues efficiently.
  • Monitor shipment performance and take ownership of resolving delivery delays, security issues, or service exceptions through proactive follow-up.
  • Assist in margin improvement efforts by identifying cost-saving opportunities, minimizing accessorial charges, and supporting operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Track customer volume expectations and escalate variances or concerns to management with supporting insights.
  • Ensure all required audit documentation is accurate, complete, and uploaded into the Transportation Management System (TMS) prior to dispatch.
  • Communicate accurate ETAs to customers and receivers to support delivery appointment scheduling and prevent storage or detention costs.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with carriers and customers to support ongoing service reliability and business growth.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and accountability by providing after-hours support, as needed, to ensure uninterrupted logistics operations.

  • Experience with Intermodal shipping
  • Experience in cross-border shipping, full-truckload as well as less-than-truckload
  • Experience in third-party logistics or brokerage role
