Job description

This Intake Specialist position is classified as supporting an administrative support department for the Regional Care Group network. The incumbent hired will represent Regional Care Group network on official communications.
Position Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Intake Specialist to join our team. The Intake Specialist will be responsible for handling patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and ensuring accurate intake procedures.
Essential Functions:
  • Assess client's financial ability to pay based on income & establish payment plans
  • Meet with clients face to face in regards to their balances, medical record requests or other needs
  • Demonstrate strong customer service, responding to inquiries promptly (within 24 hours) and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
  • Accurately enter financial and client data into the system
  • Understand Medicaid, Medicare and other insurances types
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all patient interactions

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in healthcare, particularly in customer service and collections

Location: 1441 E 84th Place. Merrillville, IN
Hours : Full-time
Shift: 8am - 4:30pm M-F
Rate of Pay: $15.00 - $17.25 (hourly)
