Zurich Agency Services (ZAS) is a wholly owned insurance agency of Zurich North America. ZAS serves as a brokerage operation that partners closely with Zurich Direct Markets and external carrier partners to provide insurance solutions across Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, Employee Benefits, Life, and Surety products. The Agency Sales Manager will play a key role in driving growth, expanding market opportunities, and strengthening relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

We are seeking an experienced Agency Sales Manager to lead a team of Sales Consultants while also serving as a hands‑on sales leader. This is a "player-coach" role responsible for generating new business, supporting revenue growth, developing team members, and partnering closely with Zurich's Direct Markets sales organization. The ideal candidate will bring both strong commercial insurance expertise and proven sales leadership capabilities.

This Agency Sales Manager will:
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Consultants focused on new business generation and client retention.
  • Drive sales growth by developing new business opportunities and strengthening existing relationships.
  • Partner closely with Zurich Direct Markets sales professionals to identify and close opportunities.
  • Provide guidance on complex insurance placements and coverage solutions.
  • Establish performance expectations, monitor results, and drive accountability across the sales team.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, talent development, and succession planning activities.

Deep commercial insurance knowledge is critical. The successful candidate should have significant experience with:

  • Workers Compensation
  • Excess Liability / Umbrella
  • Commercial Property
  • Cyber Liability
  • Dealers Open Lot
  • Employment Practices Liability (EPLI)

Candidates should understand commercial coverage structures, risk analysis, carrier markets, and brokerage operations.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Sales area
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Sales area
    OR
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Sales area
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to develop and motivate sales professionals
  • Strong business development and relationship management skills
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments

Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. If your expectations are above the listed range, we still encourage you to apply—your unique background matters to us.

This position includes a variable compensation component that is based on an individual’s performance under the applicable sales incentive plan. The annual variable compensation range, based on performance under the sales incentive plan for this role is between $125,000 and $141,000.
