Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION: Providing nursing services in the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) programs including but not limited to: Physical Assessments, treatment planning, timely documentation, coordination of medical treatments, medication administration, monitoring of health status of individuals, monitoring Licensed Vocational Nurses, and well as teaching and assisting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Home and Community Based (HCS), Texas Home Living Waiver (TxHmL) and Intermediate Care for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (ICF-IDD) programs. After hours and weekend on-call work required.

This position will have Region Wide travel to our 6 counties.

Salary based on education and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:Licensed to practice as a registered nurse (RN) in Texas. Experience working with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age, have a Texas driver's license, have a good driving record for the past three years and have a valid auto insurance card.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Must be able to pass a job related physical. Able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, lift 25 pounds and reach overhead.
