POSITION SUMMARY: The Human Resource & General Affairs Coordinator aids with the daily human resource process and coordination of office activities and operations. This role ensures effective and positive employee relations as a key liaison between employees, management, and the HR Dept.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for safeguarding confidential and proprietary information in accordance with company policy.

• Supports the full hiring cycle, including posting open positions, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and facilitating new hire orientation.

• Supports payroll and benefit administration.

• Prepares and maintains employee files.

• Completes, verifies, and maintains I-9 files for all employees.

• Compiles and organizes documentation for employee immigration and visa filings.

• Submit requests for employee background check and motor vehicle reports.

• Assists with the planning and execution of employee events, appreciation activities, and engagement initiatives across all company sites.

• Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.

• Assists with expatriate onboarding and integration into North American culture.

• Answers employee requests and questions; escalates when necessary.

• Directs office activities and functions to maintain efficiency and compliance with company policies.

• Assists clerical and support staff with their assigned duties, particularly when more advanced, skilled, or sensitive work is required.

• Maintains records, documentation, and files, particularly more complex or sensitive files such as employee files.

• Completes other duties as assigned to support company objectives.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• 3+ years of experience in human resources, general affairs or administrative roles, preferably in a Manufacturing setting, required.

• Demonstrated ability to manage, protect, and maintain confidential information and exercise good judgment on sensitive matters.

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business administration preferred; associate’s degree is required.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Effectively manage multiple tasks and work independently.

• Working knowledge of human resource principles, practices and procedures.

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software; proficiency with HRIS or ADP Workforce Now preferred.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all employees and organizational information.
