HR Specialist
 
Reports to: HR Manager, Manufacturing HR Office
Location: Cartersville, GA
Classification: Salary Exempt
Experience 3 - 6 years 
 
SUMMARY
The HR Specialist is responsible for supporting the Manufacturing HR Office by assisting in daily HR operations, managing HR data, and supporting the development and maintenance of HR automation tools and systems.
 
This position works closely with the HR Manager to improve HR operational efficiency, assist with performance management initiatives, and ensure smooth execution of employee lifecycle processes within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Support
  • Support end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, role changes, and offboarding.
  • Assist in managing employee retention programs and analyzing turnover data to provide actionable insights.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HR database.
2. HR System & Data Support
  • Assist in the daily management and updating of internal HR systems and operational platforms.
  • Identify repetitive HR administrative tasks and collaborate with the HR Manager to implement process optimizations and system enhancements.
  • Support the testing and rollout of new HR system features or workflow improvements.
 
3. Performance Management & Organizational Development
  • Support the administrative execution of annual performance evaluation cycles and talent management programs.
  • Assist in data collection and tracking for organizational design initiatives and role definition processes.
  • Help create manuals and guides to ensure employees can effectively navigate HR systems and performance processes.
 
4. HR Data & Reporting
  • Generate routine and ad-hoc HR reports regarding headcount, turnover, and employee engagement.
  • Analyze baseline HR metrics to identify trends and provide insights to the HR leadership team.
  • Ensure strict data integrity and confidentiality across all HR platforms and spreadsheets.
 
5. Cross-functional Collaboration & Compliance
  • Collaborate with Production Managers and cross-functional teams to resolve foundational HR and operational issues.
  • Assist in ensuring that HR processes comply with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Support the HR team during internal audits, routine compliance checks, and policy rollouts.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3 to 6 years of experience in Human Resources, HRIS, or a related operational role (New graduates are encouraged to apply).
  • Strong interest or basic proficiency in HR systems, data management, and process improvement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bilingual (Korean / English) is strongly preferred.
  • Interest or foundational knowledge in HR tech, system automation, or data analytics.
  • Experience using modern HRIS platforms or ERP systems.
  • Prior internship or work experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
