HR & Accounting Administrator

Decile Group

Palo Alto, CA • Remote

Full-time

Posted 7 days ago

Job description

Decile Group (https://decilegroup.com) builds the infrastructure that powers venture capital firms. Our platform, Decile Hub, is used by hundreds of fund managers to run their operations, manage LPs, and make investments. We're a fintech company growing fast, and we need someone to keep our internal finance and people operations running at the same standard we hold our product to.

This is not a traditional accounting or HR job. You will be working in a modern, cloud-native stack (Rippling, QuickBooks, Ignition), supporting a team that moves quickly, and owning processes end to end from day one. If your experience is primarily in large enterprises, government, or non-profits, this role will likely feel like a poor fit. If you've thrived in a startup or fintech environment and you like owning things, keep reading.

Role Overview

We are hiring an HR & Accounting Administrator to support the day-to-day finance and people operations of a fast-growing fintech company. You will be a key contributor to keeping our finance and HR operations running smoothly while ensuring that our team well-supported. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and excited to grow their career at the intersection of venture capital and operations.

This is a remote position. Applicants must be based in the U.S.

What You'll Own
  • Quarterly AR cycle: sending invoices to 250+ customers through Ignition, tracking collections, and following up on past-due accounts
  • AP processing: managing vendor invoices and ensuring timely payment
  • Payroll and benefits administration in Rippling, including onboarding, offboarding, and deductions accuracy
  • Month-end close support: bank reconciliations, prepaid schedules, accruals, and benefits expense reconciliation
  • State compliance: managing multi-state payroll registrations and keeping us current as the team grows
  • HR records and compliance with employment regulations across remote-first headcount
  • Ad hoc support for the VP of Finance on reporting, audits, and operational projects
What You Have
  • 2-5 years of experience in accounting, HR administration, or finance operations at a startup, tech company, or fintech
  • Hands-on experience with Rippling (HR, payroll, or benefits modules)
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or a comparable cloud accounting platform
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
  • A track record of owning processes independently, not just executing tasks assigned by a manager
  • Comfort handling sensitive data with discretion
  • Clear, professional written communication
  • You know what a cap table is, or you're curious enough to figure it out
What We Offer
  • Tangible impact on the future of humanity
  • Opportunity for career growth and role expansion
  • Competitive compensation package commensurate with experience
  • Vibrant and flexible work environment, among like-minded people with an entrepreneurial mindset
Please describe why you are uniquely qualified for this position as an HR & Accounting Administrator in the competitive field of Venture Capital to apply, as well as submitting your resume.
