Position Overview

Job Description - Shaw Sports Turf,Brand& Marketing Director

The Shaw Sports Turf, Brand & Marketing Director position is responsible for developing and executing the marketing and product strategy to elevate our brand position and customer experience while meeting the revenue and profitability targets established in the annual operating plan. We are looking for a leader who is entrepreneurial, strategic, works well with others, and highly motivated to develop an athlete centric brand within a fast paced, innovative, and customer centric organization. They must be able to navigate complexity and communicate effectively across the organization.

This role will be located in our Calhoun GA office in a hybrid format, 3 days a week in office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create MarketingStrategy - Develop and implement comprehensive marketingstrategy inclusive of product, pricing, merchandising, and promotional strategy to achieve brand objectives.
  • Develop and Implement Product/Systems Strategy - Working with a cross functional team including research & development, Innovation, marketing, sales, and other key stakeholders to create a product roadmap that anticipates the needs of end users and identifies product opportunities to create value.
  • Manage Product Lifecycle - Lead the product cycle for the brand including streamlining product development and launch, SKU rationalization, being a catalyst for cross function collaboration, working to align market needs with efficient manufacturing processes, reviewing and working to ensure quality and service standards, and end of life management to ensure our product line is productive and financially additive.
  • Financial Management - Establish and manage budgets for all marketing initiatives and ensure KPIs are established for each project and those metrics are used to improve strategy and optimize results.
  • Optimize Brand Voice to Create Brand Equity - Collaborate with Product, Innovation, Marketing and across the organization to ensure the brand is consistently brought to life across all consumer touchpoints enhancing the impact of the brand. This includes product launch, digital properties, and merchandising.
  • Lead the Development of Sales Tools - Direct the creation of sales tools needed for our sales team and distribution partners to effectively communicate solutions to the market.
  • Lead Strategy and Creation of Marketing Campaigns - Create integrated marketing plans that engage customers across core market segments and help drive key initiatives aligned to the brand strategy.
  • Brand Communication and Product Launches - Working closely with Product Development, Communications, Innovation and Marketing to define product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies. The Brand and Marketing Director ensures that all marketing collateral and communication materials are aligned with the brand identity.
  • Competitive Analysis - Analyze market trends, competitive, and customer insights to inform product and marketing decisions.
  • Sample Management - Oversee sample process from inception to launch while capturing ROI. Inclusive of inventory, sample budgets, communications, GTM and being POC for sample department.
  • Brand Performance Tracking - Monitors and analyzes the performance of marketing initiatives and brand campaigns. Use various metrics and analytics tools to assess the effectiveness of marketing efforts and make data-driven decisions for future strategies.
  • Collaboration and Relationship Building - Collaborates with sales, product development, innovation, marketing, operations, and customer service, to ensure consistent brand messaging and customer experience. Also, build relationships with external partners, agencies, and influencers to amplify brand reach and visibility.

Essential Duties:

  • Lead the brand marketing and product development integrated work team (IWT).
  • Create a comprehensive marketing strategy for Shaw Sports Turf
  • Successfully introduce and drive adoption of product solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal partners on demand planning (ESOP) for Shaw Sports Turf product.
  • Effectively communicate and execute brand strategy.
  • Elevate brand equity through the development and execution of innovative product solutions in alignment with the brand strategy.
  • Travel up to 25% in market to trade shows, sales meetings, customer meetings, and site visits

Non-essential Duties:

  • Must have ability to make sound decisions based on customer, channel, and employee needs.
  • Must have leadership abilities, exemplify professionalism, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive issues.
  • Must develop and implement alternate solutions.
  • Perform required duties within budget.
