Position Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator plays an instrumental role in supporting Claratel Behavioral Health's HR function. In this role, you will ensure the smooth day to day operations of all administrative and support aspects of the Human Resources department in coordination with the Vice President of People Operations, HR Business Partners, and Recruiters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains and updates employee data according to compliance and record retention guidelines.
- Supports all employee lifecycle transactions from pre-employment through termination.
- Supports health and wellness and retirement benefits plans administration.
- Prepares employment status reports for payroll, HR and/or compliance purposes.
- Processes and maintains all workers' compensation claims, unemployment requests, and leaves of absence such as FMLA, disability, and parental leaves.
- Provides assistance to recruiters including job applicant communication, interview scheduling, background and drug screening, and employee orientation.
- Provides assistance to employees and managers regarding employment policies and procedures, benefits, and payroll.
- Stays informed about employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Other related duties as assigned.

- Must be able to manage competing demands, while being extremely adaptable and flexible
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications and the use of email
- Must have the ability to quickly learn systems, processes, and procedures
- Must be able to explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees
- Familiarity with benefit administration, basic HR and Employee Relations functions, payroll administration, and state and federal employment laws.
