POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking three experienced Housekeeping Supervisors to support daily cleaning and housekeeping operations at a large industrial automotive manufacturing facility in Roanoke, Indiana.

The Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee housekeeping personnel, coordinate daily cleaning activities, inspect work areas, and ensure the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and professional condition. The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience in an industrial, manufacturing, commercial, or large facility environment.

Position 1:
Saturday Wednesday
6:00 AM 2:30 PM

Position 2:
Friday Tuesday
2:30 PM 10:00 PM

Position 3:
Overnight Shift
10:00 PM 6:30 AM
Days are flexible

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping and janitorial activities.
Lead and direct housekeeping employees to ensure assigned areas are properly maintained.
Assign daily tasks, cleaning areas, and responsibilities to housekeeping personnel.
Monitor employee attendance, performance, productivity, and work quality.
Inspect production areas, offices, restrooms, break rooms, common areas, and other facility spaces.
Ensure cleaning schedules and established housekeeping standards are consistently followed.
Train new employees on proper cleaning procedures, equipment use, PPE, and safety requirements.
Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
Maintain adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and communicate supply needs to management.
Operate and oversee the proper use of industrial cleaning equipment.
Address housekeeping issues and respond to requests from facility and plant personnel.
Coordinate coverage and adjust assignments based on changing facility needs.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Ensure employees follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Report maintenance, safety, or facility issues identified during housekeeping activities.
Communicate shift activities, concerns, and outstanding issues to management and other supervisors.
Assist with special cleaning projects and other facility housekeeping requirements.
Maintain professional relationships with plant personnel, management, and other departments.

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous supervisory or lead experience in housekeeping, janitorial, custodial, industrial cleaning, or facility services.
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with industrial cleaning equipment preferred.
Ability to safely handle and work around cleaning chemicals.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and make decisions during assigned shifts.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
