Job description

The Workday consultant role is focused on providing integration support to clients in their production systems. This support is focused primarily on the integrations and interfaces from Workday to and from the clients. This production support role includes research and responding to questions about production data, debugging and resolving integration issues, supporting ad hoc batch uploads, implementing client change requests and writing complex reports.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Primary point of contact for multipleexternal client teams to research, troubleshoot and resolve integration and production issues in a timely manner.
  • Debugs and triages integration issues and defects. Implements and tests fixes where necessary.
  • Supports the implementation team through test execution, issue triage and knowledge transfer activities.
  • Effectively prioritizes and escalates customer issues as required.
  • Supports the change order process through providing estimates on effort, defining requirements, designing and developing the solution using the Workday Integration tools - Core Connectors, EIBs, Workday Studio, etc.
  • Supports client teams with ad hoc or non-standard batch uploads,
  • Clearly and succinctly documents communications to customers using issue management system.
  • Replicates and verifies customer problems and log issues to development.
  • Manages interface schedules to client SLAs. Defines the cross client interface calendar and inventory, monitors integrations to completion, establishes and supports file transmission automation and supporting documentation.
  • Supports client and client teams in creating complex reports and resolving issues with existing reports.
  • Maintains integration related requirements and technical documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree, equivalent degree or work with preferred concentration in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 2 + years of practical Workday integration experience - including the support and development of integrations using Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder, Core Connector.
  • Workday Integrations Certified is a must have for this role.
  • Experience using Workday Studio is a must have for this role.
  • Experience in writing documents and executing requirements, design, development, andtesting.
  • Working knowledge of software development life cycle activities (i.e., requirements, analysis, design, construction, testing, and deployment).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and perform against tight deadlines and multi-task effectively.
  • Strong self-motivation balanced with a desire to achieve team goals.
  • Experience with iterative or agile software development methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of PM tools such as MS Project and MS Excel.
  • Experience with web service integrations (SOAP, WSDL, XML).
  • Working knowledge of XSLT.
