Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Healdsburg, California.
This role supports a small, high-acuity ICU where nurses manage critically ill patients with a high level of autonomy and broad clinical responsibility.
POSITION OVERVIEW
This assignment is ideal for ICU nurses who thrive in low-census environments, are confident working independently, and are comfortable managing a wide range of critical care conditions with limited support.
ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
13-week contract
Day shift 3x12s (07:00-19:00)
Patient ratio 1:2
Small ICU (4 beds, low daily census)
Float required to MS/Tele and Med-Surg units
1 position available
COMPENSATION
Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. Each compensation package is customized and may include taxable hourly wages along with tax-free stipends when applicable.
CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide care for critically ill patients in ICU setting
Manage ventilated patients and respiratory support (BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC)
Administer and titrate vasoactive drips and sedation
Interpret ABGs and cardiac rhythms
Manage central lines, arterial lines, and IV access
Provide care for multi-system organ failure patients
Assist with procedures including bronchoscopy and chest tube management
Deliver patient care across ICU and lower acuity units when floated
Document care in Epic EMR

Requirements

Minimum 2 years ICU RN experience REQUIRED (HARD STOP)
CA RN license REQUIRED (must be in hand)
BLS, ACLS REQUIRED
NIHSS and PALS preferred
Experience with ventilators, sedation, and vasoactive drips REQUIRED
Experience with central lines, arterial lines, and critical care monitoring
Must be comfortable floating to Med-Surg and Tele units
