Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a crew of operators and laborers in grading operations for heavy civil construction projects
  • Coordinate daily activities including clearing, excavation, rough grading, fine grading, soil stabilization, and site preparation
  • Interpret and implement project plans and specifications to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain production schedules and ensure timely completion of project milestones
  • Monitor and enforce safety standards in compliance with OSHA regulations
  • Ensure quality control throughout all phases of grading operations
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, crew members, and other stakeholders
  • Facilitate the mobilization of your crew to project sites as needed
Qualifications
  • Three (3+) or more years of experience as a foreman on heavy civil grading projects
  • Strong knowledge of grading operations, site preparation, and earthwork
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications
  • Experience operating and overseeing heavy equipment
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and best practices
  • Proven ability to coordinate crews and maintain production schedules
