Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Sewer Foreman/Crew Leader to direct and oversee the installation of storm, sanitary, and water mains on various site development projects. As a key member of our team, you will lead a crew of skilled operators and laborers, ensuring the smooth execution of projects while promoting a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise, direct, and motivate a team of 2-10 skilled operators and laborers, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Crew & Schedule Management: Lead and schedule crews, subcontractors, and material deliveries to meet project timelines and budget requirements.
  • Resource Planning: Assist in determining labor, equipment, and material needs to ensure optimal resource allocation for each project.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other foremen, superintendents, project managers, vendors, owners, and inspectors to coordinate efforts and ensure project success.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, including timesheets, safety logs, production, attendance reports, and other necessary documentation.
  • Safety Oversight: Promote and enforce company safety policies and practices to maintain a safe working environment for all team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in site work leadership, including overseeing sewer, storm, and water main installations.
  • Heavy Equipment Operation: Proficient in operating heavy equipment, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment-related issues.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication abilities, with experience managing diverse teams in a dynamic work environment.
  • Safety Focused: A deep understanding of safety protocols and the ability to enforce these standards on the job site.
