Job description

CWM has an immediate opening for "Experienced" Grade Foremen for construction projects in Southwest GA. Interested applicants must have a minimum of 5 years grading experience and a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a foreman. Responsibilities would include evaluating project work scopes, reviewing plans and specifications, coordinating field personnel. In addition, ensures that adequate materials, equipment, and tools are available for projects, and that equipment is operating properly. Ensures employee adherence to appropriate safety precautions and regulations. Checks and completes applicable daily reports. Performs other related duties as required. Georgia DOT experience preferred.

  • Directly supervises grading crew.
  • Reports on work to Superintendent.
  • Experienced on all types of heavy equipment for dirt and site projects.
  • Knowledgeable in the areas of dirt work, including excavation, grade work, surveying, and final excavating work.
  • Reads, understands, and interprets drawings and specifications.
  • Monitors crews for organizational structure, sizing, crew mix ratios, and wage compliance in conjunction with Superintendent.
  • Reports on time and materials.
  • Monitors the implementation of safety orientations, safety indoctrinations, provides coaching for improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
