Responsibilities
  • Process all types of gifts to the Foundation that are received from various sources, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and other entities. 
  • Prepare and maintain biographical information in the Ascend data base, ensure data is accurate and complete.  
  • Serve as a resource to fundraising professionals, their support staff with questions regarding gift processing and recording in Salesforce Ascend. 
  • Serve as a resource to Business Managers and their support staff with questions regarding processed gifts, deposits, and corrections to gift accounts. 
  • Process gifts of securities.
  • Extract wire transfers from Purdue University’s Treasury database and Purdue Research Foundation wires from the Lockbox. 
  • Daily review of credit card batch loads from the Portal. 
  • Assist with Purdue Day of Giving by answering telephones, processing call in credit card gifts and assisting Donors and Staff with gift processing questions.  
  • Process system corrections for gifts and pledges as necessary, including scanning documents for audit. 
  • Add, merge and or purge records via the Salesforce Interims process. 
  • Assist with special biographical projects
  • Assist with creating standard operating procedures for all gift processing processes
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Ability to multi-task and handle frequent interruptions. 
  • Ability to use good judgment, diplomacy, maintain confidentiality, attention to detail and work with minimal supervision. 
  • Personal computer and related software skills necessary, Salesforce experience a plus.
  • Occasional evening and Holiday work.
  • Must be a motivated, adaptable team player with the ability to work well with others. 

Required Education, Experience and Benefits Summary
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One to three years of data entry experience required. 
  • Experience in assisting customer or constituent relationships through excellent verbal and written communication.
