Job description

PAE builds and sustains relationships with donors, alumni, and stakeholders to strengthen philanthropy, enrich the community, and advance strategic priorities. We invite you to join our team as the Assistant Director, Annual Giving Analytics and Reporting, supporting Alumni Annual Giving programs and initiatives.
Reporting to Sean Dean, Senior Director, Annual Programs, this role serves as a key member of Annual Programs. The Assistant Director supports planning, implementation, and management of Alumni Annual Giving efforts and oversees data integrity that informs strategic direction. The position leads data initiatives that strengthen donor retention, reactivation, and acquisition across Pitt's annual giving programs.
The Assistant Director collaborates with University Programs leadership to resolve unforeseen situations, create and manipulate data for solicitation strategies across mail, phone, and electronic channels, support segmentation and appeal code tracking, refine and backfill Donor Experience Officer (DXO) portfolios, and identify prospects using tools such as trigger scans, modeling outputs, and data analysis.
This role serves as the lead data strategist for University Programs and primary liaison to PAE Systems for all data needs. Responsibilities include creating monthly metrics and ad-hoc reports to track trends and progress toward fundraising goals; running reports and analyzing solicitation results; utilizing predictive modeling; improving reporting automation; supporting emerging campaigns and solicitation channels through research, system integration guidance, and results analysis; providing post-Pitt Day of Giving (PDoG) data; leading the PDoG offline gift process; processing leadership and donor data to identify positive trends; and conducting ROI and cost-benefit analysis for direct marketing projects. Additional duties support University Programs and the broader Individual Giving, Schools & Centers team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing the PDoG offline gift process
  • Building reports for school/unit partners post-PDoG
  • Presenting post-PDoG reports to school/unit partners
  • Creating new portfolios and backfilling portfolios for DXO's
  • Creating and maintaining a suite of annual giving reports for University Programs staff
  • Pulling data for direct mail and electronic sends
  • Becoming a Salesforce Affiniquest expert user
  • Using other platforms to manipulate data for reporting purposes
  • Fulfilling data requests from leadership
