Job description

IT

Rocket Lab's IT team is responsible for how our global teams access information and run operations across our computer systems, networks, and devices. Our hardworking IT team is a group of flexible problem-solvers working in a fast-paced environment but who also thrive under the challenge of supporting all of our proprietary systems and people, from finance to launch operations.

HRIS ANALYST II

Based on site at Rocket Lab's global headquarters in Long Beach, CA, the HRIS Analyst II will play an integral role within the Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) team. This role requires specialization in HRIS platforms, particularly Workday HCM and ADP payroll systems.

In this role you will engage closely with various departments and stakeholders across different geographical locations, including Human Resources, Finance, Payroll, EIS, and IT. Your core responsibility will be to provide HRIS solutions, support, and comprehensive analysis of HR data.

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:

  • Assist with implementation, optimization, and maintenance of HR systems, collaborating closely with HR, Finance, EIS, IT, and vendors.
  • Develop, configure, and deliver insightful reports and dashboards to provide key data and business insights.
  • Assist with opportunities for process automation and optimization to drive business outcomes.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across integrated applications through analysis, clear documentation, and swift resolution of any issues.
  • Assist with system tests, respond to user reports, diagnose, and resolve issues.

YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years' Workday HCM administration experience and bachelor's degree, or equivalent years of work experience (HS Diploma or GED, and 6+ years of work experience).
  • Proven hands-on experience in business requirements gathering and solution delivery.
  • A strong technical background with HR, recruitment, payroll, and collaboration tools (Workday experience is a must).
  • Experience maintaining HRIS-related documentation, including solution documents and technical/functional specifications.
  • Ability to travel and communicate outside of work hours.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.

THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to articulate technical concepts and establish effective working relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Certification or training in Workday HCM is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, information systems, business administration or a related field.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and staying up to date with the latest HRIS advancements.
